TV on the go problems

I have  an iPhone 6s and an iPad as registered devices.

When I try to watch a Virgin TV from the guide it says Device Registration Required., but I am able to watch Sky Go on it.

When I try to watch Sky Go on my iPad it says I have reached the limit of my devices but I can watch virgin TV on it.

This proves they are both registered.

HELP

Re: TV on the go problems

As devices for TVA anywhere & Sky premium channels are registered & managed separately, it doesn't prove anything.

Sky device management:

http://anywhere.virginmedia.com/settings/devices/sky/

TV Anywhere device management:

http://anywhere.virginmedia.com/settings/devices/

Re: TV on the go problems

Clicked on both links and they say the devices are registered

Re: TV on the go problems

An OS upgrade often means the same device is seen as a new one. So try deleting the device that isn't working & re-registering it.

Re: TV on the go problems

I can't do anything until next month as I changed my device yesterday. If I delete it I won't be able to register it again

Re: TV on the go problems

If you phone up & ask nicely they might give you an extra device change. I'd expect that this will fix it but there seem to be a fair few reports of failed registrations recently on here. Could be new users getting confused or perhaps there's a bigger problem at VM's end. It will be many days before you get a reply from VM here, if at all.

Re: TV on the go problems

If it's a Sky change you need, be specific in your request, else they'll give you a TVA change instead.

Re: TV on the go problems

Why is TV anywhere called that as it only works in the UK?

Should this be reported to Trading Standards as false advertising as it never works for me anytime that I need it!

A response from Virgin would be appreciated

The documentation from Virgin Media clearly states that streaming through TV Anywhere is wifi and UK only.

Have you likewise complained to the BBC that their iPlayer is UK only?

Re: TV on the go problems

It is NOT clear in the documentation that TV Anywhere is UK only, it says TV Anywhere, whereas iplayer says iplayer not iplayer anywhere!

Rather a bad answer and very sarcastic if you ask me, not the level of answer I would have expected from a Virgin employee!!
