TV anywhere on windows 8.1 laptop

I have an Asus Transformer laptop on which TV Anywhere used to work just fine.  I haven't used this for a few months but this morning I now get a Device Restricted message.

I've just read something about Virgin not now supporting touchscreen laptops like mine - I think this has something to do with the fact that it has a detachable keyboard so can also be turned into a tablet?

I'm struggling to work out how I get round this. Someone suggested using a different browser but I only have the standard Microsoft explorer installed. How do you get a different browser and would this work?

I'm not very computer literate so if you could reply in not too technical language, that would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Yes, as is noted by this staff member's post: http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/TV-on-the-go/Surface-Pro-3-does-not-work-when-streaming-TV/m-p/2...

As your device is not supported, the following probably won't help: Firefox is the recommended web browser for Win 8 devices with a touchscreen. You can download it from here: http://getfirefox.com

It all likelihood it won't work, but if you want to give it a shot, why not.
