Hi Rick-

Thanks for your post and apologies for the issues you're having with TV Anywhere.

What browser are you using? I'm afraid Google Chrome isn't a supported browser due to the Pepper Flash add on.

If you are then try registering the device in Internet Explorer instead.

Any luck? Let me know :smileyhappy:

Re: TV anywhere does not work on laptop which is registered how do i fix?

Hi Rick-,

Thanks for letting us know how things went for you and am happy to hear that things are working for you.

For the App you are correct in saying that a TiVo® box is needed.

The app was originally built to control your TiVo® and streaming was then added later. If you've not got a TiVo® then you'll only be able to use via the online website.

Thanks,

Re: TV anywhere does not work on laptop which is registered how do i fix?

Hi

I have the same problem, but I have tried using Edge, Firefox and Safari (all on a Windows 10 PC).  I am sure this PC is registered, however, when I look in Device Settings, it tries to detect this device.  In Safari, it reports "Device detection has timed out" and in Edge it says "Device could not be detected".

Can you help?

Regards

Denis

Hi Denis,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Community. It's really great to have you here Smiley Happy

I'm sorry to hear that you are having an issue using TV Anywhere via your PC. Usually this error happens if your Flash player isn't up to date.

The first thing to try would be deleting Flash and then re downloading from Adobe to ensure you have the latest version.

Once you've done this go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings. Delete the PC from your registered devices and try to re-register. Has this made any difference?

Let me know.

Thanks,
