TV anywhere app not connecting

When on WiFi in my house I can't connect to my tivo box. Just keeps saying reconnecting. But when outside on 4g I don't have an issue. So all my details are correct because that works on mobile signal. I've tried all the cakes. Switching on and off doesn't work. Im on andriod by the way. Anyone any ideas?

I'm really sorry to hear that you are having an issue using your Android device for use with TV Anywhere when connected to your wifi. 

 

Just so we can get a feeling for what's going on, what is the full make and model of your device? What OS are you running? 

 

When connected via wifi, does the app allow you to log in? 

 

What sort of error message are you getting?

It allows me to log in but the reconnecting just flashes up. I'm on a Samsung s6 edge plus. Not sure what is it is. I can't even register my device. But as I say when I'm on 4g I can set recordings and everything else.

I've now registered. the only way the app will work is if I switch between 5g and 2g on my wifi box, then it'll work for a few mins then reconnecting flashes up and I have to switch again.

Thanks for coming back to us on this and letting us know where you stand with things currently. 

 

It's great that you've found a work around to register the device however switching between the networks shouldn't be necessary. 

 

I've emailed one of the development teams to see what could be causing this issue.

I am also having the same issue with my Galaxy S5, it just keeps flashing reconnecting when I try to access it using my wifi.

Please help.

I'm sorry to hear that you are having the same issue as above. I've not heard back from the team on this yet so am still short of a permanent answer.

 

Do you have any VPN connections active?

Are you using the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz network?

Does swapping it over to the other provide a work around?

Samsung Galaxy S5 connected to home wifi on 2.4ghz.

Thanks for your post and apologies you've not been able to get things working on your device. 

 

As mentioned above: 

Do you have any VPN connections active?
Are you using the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz network?
Does swapping it over to the other provide a work around?
 
Also do you have Wifi calling active on your device?
 
If so try disabling this. Any difference?

Update. Turning off WiFi calling does work. Now it's off the app works perfectly. Will there be an updated app tho so we can have WiFi calling and TV anywhere.
