TV NOWHERE

I cannot believe that Virgin can get away with Virgin TV Anywhere in their ADs. I will be referring this to the relevant authorities. There are enough people who just get fobbed off with the same error msg.
Midway through watching programmes it shuts down and declares its too busy. Paying for a non existent service as usual.
Let alone the super slow Broadband!!!!

Re: TV NOWHERE

Hi tojohunter,

Thanks for coming back to me with this information.

It would be helpful if we can reset everything to unsure there are no underlying issues.

Are you using the TV Anywhere app or are you using the online version of TV Anywhere?

If online version:
What OS is your PC/Laptop running?
What browser are you using and which version is it?
What version of Flash Player are you using?
Do you get anything different if trying another browser?

If app version:
What is the make and model of your device?
What OS is the device running?
Have you used the app on this or any other devices previously?

Let me know so we can help further with this.

Re: TV NOWHERE

I am using the App on iPhone 6 IOS 8.1.2
I have accessed it through this means every time. It consistently allows the use of it and ends programmes so far in, with the too busy msg preventing further access.
I'll do some research for you, in the process of setting up a website regarding Virgin TV Nowhere !!!

Re: TV NOWHERE

I have quite a collection of home-made videos of TV Anywhere in "action" with amazing footage of buffering, stalling, repeating & skipping - let me know if you'd like to include them.  Virgin Media can't bring themselves to watch them for some reason.

Re: TV NOWHERE

Hi Tojohunter,

Thanks again for replying Smiley Happy

Your iOS is out of date so I would first recommend updating this to the latest version. You can do this by going into Settings > General > Software Update.

Once this is updated, delete the app from your phone and re-download it from the App Store so all is nice and new.

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks,

Re: TV NOWHERE

I know how to update my IOS, I choose not to, due to glitches in these updates.
These updates have no relevance to your app whatsoever. Your app works with my current IOS but then shuts down and says it's busy. Not fit for purpose. Mis sold a service, compensation in sight. Just a matter of time.

Re: TV NOWHERE

Hi Tojohunter,

Thanks for coming back again.

I understand it's your choice on whether or not to update however if we're able to proceed any further we'll need you to be on the latest iOS.

Thanks,

Re: TV NOWHERE

You're just making it up as you go along Kath.

http://help.virginmedia.com/system/selfservice.controller?CONFIGURATION=1001&PARTITION_ID=1&TIMEZONE...

Mobile app minimum specifications

NOTE: TV Anywhere isn’t available on Blackberry devices or Windows Phone. Windows Tablets are enabled for TiVo management only, and can’t be used to watch TV via Virgin TV Anywhere.

Apple

Apple devices meeting the following specifications can use the TV Anywhere app:

iOS 7 or higher
iPad 2 or later
iPhone 4 or later
iPod touch 5th generation or later

NOTE: Please make sure you’re using the latest version of the TV Anywhere app as older versions will not work for streaming live TV or TiVo management. If you’re running iOS 6 or earlier you’ll need to update to iOS 7 where possible to use TV Anywhere on your device.
