TV Anywhere

Hi can anyone help I have the iOS app on iPhone  and iPad and it keeps getting logged off I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app but still have to sign in almost every time I use it.

Hi Terri
I have been told that the app now logs people off after 12 hrs due to some licensing issues, I must say this is a real pain and don't understand what licensing issues there must be as no one has said anymore.

Hi maz3613 I & nearly 100 posters on the TV on the go section of this forum that have registered complaints on this, would love to know where this information comes from, did it come from a virgin source, as there has been nothing official from them, it sounds like quess work. Regards Micky

I got a reply via twitter which is below

@maz3613 Sorry for any confusion here Ian. We've been made aware that this change was intentional. Due to licensing and other legal stuff we have made the app log you out automatically after 12hrs of inactivity. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

I've seen so many reports of this issues so I raised this up with the TV Anywhere team and turns out this has been raised as a known issue. 


The team released a fix for this towards the end of last week. Can you see if it is still asking you to sign in every time you open the app?

I am pleased to say that the app is not logging me out after 12hrs now so it would look like the problem has been fixed.

Thanks so much for coming back to me on this and confirming all is working for you again. 

 

Now the issue is resolved, as long as you open the app one every 18 days, the app will stay logged in Smiley Happy
