TV Anywhere

Hi out there,

I am away from home with good wifi and I have set up the TV Anywhere with Virgin and it works at home, I did so with the help of customer services so it seems fine. However, now I am out away from home I am getting a A3328 error code on the screen.

Thoughts on a postcard.

Re: TV Anywhere

Hi Prscouser Smiley Happy

Thank you for your messages back to so far, there's a few tips you can try for the TV Anywhere, you may only need to try one or two:-

  • Sign out and sign back in, after clearing your cache/temp files. Make sure when signing in anywhere, that the caps lock is monitored and the username and password are typed correctly.
  • Reinstall the app itself, after clearing cache and cookies.
  • Check to see if you can sign into TV Anywhere from a PC to see if it streams. Please bear in mind that Chrome isn't supported.
  • Check that your device OS hasn't been changed recently, for example, Android 6.0.1 is unsupported.

Also check out Connecting TiVo to your home network Smiley Happy

Give these a go and please get back to me when you can.

Re: TV Anywhere

I apologise for some basic questions but.....

.... you are in the UK?

... you're not using a VPN?

Re: TV Anywhere

Hi Prscouser,

Thanks for popping back and letting us know.

OK, the error message you've mentioned is usually down to you being connected to a non UK network. We'll need to look at this in a little more detail.

Are you using the Online or App version of TV Anywhere?

If online version:

What OS is your PC/Laptop running?

What browser are you using and which version is it?

What version of Flash Player are you using?

Do you get anything different if trying another browser?

If app version:

What is the make and model of your device?

What OS is the device running?

Have you used the app on this network previously?

Let me know so we can help further with this.

Re: TV Anywhere

This can happen when attempting to stream on a network that blocks access to the non-standard ports that our license server uses. This can happen on corporate networks where security restrictions have been put in place. You may need to talk to your network administrator or IT department to see if these restrictions can be removed.

Amazing really that in all the previous reports of the problem here, no-one has come up with this answer before. I guess Virgin Media have their own business reasons; they like to say that you can use TV Anywhere on any UK WiFi connection, when that clearly isn't the case.
