TV Anywhere - some channels repeating a few seconds

Since the weekend a few channels from live TV have started to repeat parts of the show and have increased bufferring. You watch a bit, then get a repeat of the last 2 seconds and then it skips to catch up. The channels it is happening on makes it unwatchable.

So far it is channel 5 and BT sport 2. I haven't gone through all the channels to see what is working and what is not. ITV2 was OK though.

I'm running on a LAN and rebooted the router which didn't help. I'm using firefox and windows 10. Neither of which have had a update between when it was working ok and when it is now having problems.

Please fix.

Re: TV Anywhere - some channels repeating a few seconds

You're not alone. There is nothing wrong with your equipment. Over the past two weeks, more & more people are reporting the same. As usual, Virgin Media are burying their heads on the sand on this issue, letting customers take the time to post here & then simply ignoring them.

Rather than let them put the ball back in your court (they love playing the blame game & denying anything is wrong their end), please post here as to whether you are accessing TV Anywhere in browser or via the app.

Re: TV Anywhere - some channels repeating a few seconds

Hi Graphil,

Welcome to the Community!

Really sorry to hear you're having trouble with TV Anywhere.

I'd like to check a few things with you to try and narrow down the cause of the fault.

Does the issue affect all programs on the channels you've mentioned?

Have you noticed any other channels skipping?

Do you get the same issue on your other device?

Speak soon Smiley Very Happy

Josh

Re: TV Anywhere - some channels repeating a few seconds

I think Richard Branson and Virgin engineers should be tied down and made to sit in front of a screen with this looping, it's like the bloody Chinese water torture.  Or perhaps we should all have a refund on our t.v. package, mine is now £100 a month (telephone, wifi etc, no sport or mobile)

Re: TV Anywhere - some channels repeating a few seconds

It is all programs.

I haven't noticed other channels skipping but I don't watch many others.

It is not a problem on my phone.

BT sport 2 now seems to be OK but channel 5 is still a problem

Re: TV Anywhere - some channels repeating a few seconds

Hi Graphil,

Thanks for sticking with us on this one.

We've been running some test watching on Channel 5 the last few days and I've not noticed any glitches. Have things improved on this channel for you too?

Is there a certain time you usually log on to watch TV Anywhere?

Thanks,

Channel 5 seems OK for me at the moment too.

Re: TV Anywhere - some channels repeating a few seconds

it is very frustrating to try and watch a program and have it looping around.
