TV Anywhere Tablet Streaming Errors

I have two registered devices: A Desktop PC and an Android Nexus 10 Tablet.  Both are connected to the same home network via a Virgin Super 2ac hub.

The Desktop PC can stream TV programmes, but the Tablet variously reports Error Code E = 29 (copyright) or E =  47 (network). Programme Listings and registration all seem correct.

Any suggestions?

Re: TV Anywhere Tablet Streaming Errors

Hi Wyvern2,

Welcome to the Community!

Really sorry to hear you're having trouble with TV Anywhere.

I've located your account and re-synced your subscriptions which has been know to help with this error.

Also, to give this the best chance of working, I'd like you to follow these steps for uninstalling/ reinstalling the app (I've already added a device change for this).

First I would like you to uninstall the app. Once you've done that, switch off your device and power it back on again. Then, On a PC or Laptop, go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings and delete the device from the 'My Registered Devices' section.

When that's done, return to your device and download the TV Anywhere app.

Once the app has downloaded, sign in using your primary account details. Go to the channel listings and select Channel 4 > Watch Now > Watch On Device. This should then prompt you to register the device.

Follow these instructions in this order and let me know how it goes.

Speak soon

Josh

Re: TV Anywhere Tablet Streaming Errors

Hi Josh,

Thank you for looking into my problem.

I have followed your instructions and registered my Nexus Tablet.

It can now play recordings stored on my new Virgin TV V6 box. But, strangely, still generates the E = 29 V = -1 error when trying to stream live channels shown in the guide.

Although it would be nice to have this feature, I will be happy to live with the current set up!

Kind Regards,
Stephen
