TV Anywhere Device Registration - resolved yet?

Has this pinned item been resolved yet?

My Samsung Netbook (Windows) has lost its registration.  In trying to resolve this I have used up a "Change".  Please update the pinned post when the issue is resolved and I will try to register again.

It looks like I will have to un-register the Netbook first.  How do I un-register it?

Will I also need to phone?

Thanks,

Nolly1953

Re: TV Anywhere Device Registration - resolved yet?

Hi Nolly1953,

Thanks for your post and apologies you were affected by this fault for so long.

The good news is, this fault has been resolved and we have added a device change for you to use to re-register the Netbook Smiley Happy

Don't forget to go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings.

Remove the initial Netbook registration by clicking on the Delete button. Once you've done this, using the device you are trying to re-register, open up the TV Anywhere app and log in. Try to stream Channel 4 and this should then prompt you to register the device.

Follow the prompts and this will register the device for you and streaming will then commence Smiley Happy

Let me know how things go.

Re: TV Anywhere Device Registration - resolved yet?

Thanks Kath_F,

This sorted the problem with my Netbook.  When I tried my PC, it has also been de-registered.  When I tried to fix it, again it told me that I had no changes left this month.  Could you please reset?

Thanks,

Nolly1953

Re: TV Anywhere Device Registration - resolved yet?

Hi Nolly1953,

Great news about the Netbook Smiley Happy

I have added a further device change for you now to use to register the PC.

Once this change is used up we won't be able to add any more until the 1st August.

Come back and let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Re: TV Anywhere Device Registration - resolved yet?

Kath_F,

Thanks.  That worked a treat.

A final question.  Can you tell me what browsers support TVAnywhere?  It seems to work with Edge but not Google Chrome.  Is that correct?  Any others?

Thanks,

Nolly1953

Re: TV Anywhere Device Registration - resolved yet?

Hi Nolly1953,

We support the following:

Internet Explorer 9 to 11

Firefox 3 or higher

Microsoft EDGE (although this does throw up errors all the time so we recommend using one of the others)

Safari 5 or higher

Google Chrome is not supported on Windows or OS X so avoid using this at all costs Smiley Happy

I'm glad to hear that everything else is resolved. If you have any further issues, come back and let me know Smiley Happy

Take care,
