Streaming between boxes - copyright issue

Got my new TiVo box installed upstairs and connected one directly to my super hub via Ethernet cable, then connected my old sky+ wifi adapter to the other TiVo box via Ethernet cable.

i can now view and use the recordings from the other TiVo box and vice versa.

however I am disgusted that most channels' recordings are not playable on the other box due to copyright restrictions! Why? I've paid for the subscription and its on my own private network!

I can also control both boxes using the app on my phone.

i am so glad I didn't shell out £47 for a power line kit!

Yep!

And the broadcasters own the rights to the recordings on your box, & have decided what you can & can't do with them. Until their attitude changes you are stuck with what you've got.
