Sky device limit reached

Upgraded phone & changed device in virgin app, but sky still says device limit reached. If I delete device from virgin app & then go into sky app will this work or have I lost monthly device change?

Hi SteRoberts, 

 

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's really great to have you here. 

 

The Virgin TVA and Sky apps run off different platforms so therefore any changes made to one, will need to be made to the other too. 

 

Go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Sky Movies & Sky Sports. Once here, remove your old device to make a slot free. Go back to the app and attempt to stream and this should register the device automatically.

Thanks, but don't think that will work. I previously tried to change device via virgin page so have lost my device change for the month. Have since found out that you need to delete the device & then go back in via Sky app to register.
Do I have to wait till Jan or is there a way to get another device change?

Hi SteRoberts, 

 

You get a change for the TVA app and also a separate change for the Sky apps. I've already checked and you have 1 device change left. Just make sure you are going My Profile > Sky Movies & Sky Sports not My Profile > My Devices.

Does this have to be done on a desktop computer as no sky sports option in my profile?

Thanks that worked when done on desk top, just lost device change for normal virgin for this month due to mid understanding.
