Sky Sports on the go

Hi all, has anyone managed to get any Sky Sports channels working through the TV Anywhere app? It takes me to the Sky Sports page and then when i log tells me i don't have the ability to watch the channels. Any advice greatly appreciated!

Re: Sky Sports on the go

I've been told that Sky are also working on a compatible version of their apps for Android 7.0 at present, so that could explain why it's crashing too.

I don't have any details on when either update will be released unfortunately.

Re: Sky Sports on the go

You need to download the Sky Sports app and log in that way using the Virgin Media log in icon.

Re: Sky Sports on the go

I have the Sky Sports app (was previously a Sky customer) but can't see a Virgin icon on it anywhere. I'm using Android if that makes a difference. I can login using my Virgin account details but then none of the channels are avilable.

See this help article for details about how to sign into the Sky Sports app. You do need to make sure you've fully signed out of the app first as an ex-Sky customer

I had an issue a while ago where the Sky Sports app kept crashing on me.  I deleted all the app data and uninstalled the app.  I then re installed it and it has been fine since.  Might be worth a try.

Re: Sky Sports on the go

No joy I'm afraid. I've removed all of the data and cache and uninstalled / reinstalled the app. Still crashes each time i go to watch anything live. In fact, the same happens when trying to watch any live channels through the Virgin TV Anywhere app too

What device are you using and which version of Android is it on?

Re: Sky Sports on the go

That would explain why the TV Anywhere app crashes. It's not currently compatible with devices running Android 6 or later. This is something Virgin Media are working on to resolve

However I'm not sure about the Sky Sports app. I will check.
