Sky Sports App

When I go to the app and put my email address and password in the email address goes red and I can't log in, and that's with clicking the 2 Virgin media options below.

When you sign in, you should see on the left hand side Sky Cinema & Sky Sports Device Registration?

 

If you can click on that tab and you can then add or remove devices Smiley Happy

Thanks for coming back to me with these. They help a lot Smiley Happy

 

OK, can you try the following for me:

 

> Click on the Arrow in the left hand corner to take you back to the previous screen

> Click on the 3 line icon in the top left hand corner again

> In the list that appears you should see 'Sign Out'

> Click on this for me. 

 

Go back to Sign in. Has this made any difference? 

 

It looks as though this worked for @BenD_H when we tried his device a few days ago so here's hoping. 

 

As always, keep me updated.

Hi Gordy66,

Thank you for your post, I hope you're well.


I'm sorry to read about problems when logging into the app. Whenever there are issue it's best to carry out some of the following practices:-

  • Sign out and sign back in, after clearing your cache/temp files. Make sure when signing in anywhere, that the caps lock is monitored and the username and password are typed correctly.
  • Can you sign into TV Anywhere from a PC to see if it streams?
  • Reinstall the app itself, after clearing cache and cookies.
  • Check that your device OS hasn't been changed recently, for example, Android 6.0.1 is unsupported.


Give these a go and please get back to me when you can.

It says it has reached the limit for registered devices on the PC. From the sky sports website.

looks like you've reached you maximum number of devices to be registered. Try this:-

 

Changing registered devices

  1. Open your web browser and go to virginmedia.com/tvanywhere.
  2. Click on My Profile and Sky Cinema and Sky Sports.
  3. Enter your My Virgin Media username and password if prompted.
  4. Click on Sky Devices. Your current registered devices will be shown.
  5. Choose the Device you want to remove.
  6. Click Delete.

Then you can register another device, this will take up your single allocation per month, in which I will refresh for you this time.

I have 2 devices listed on my devices I deleted both on the sky devices but on the sky devices but cannot add anything with the sky option.

I can't add anything on the sky devices it has your devices and nothing else.

Do you know if the app will be updated to support Android 6.0.1?

I am a sky sports subscriber (through virgin media) and have the same issue as Gordy66.
