SKY MOVIES & SKY SPORTS DEVICE REGISTRATION

I am a newbie to Tivo. I have managed to add a laptop to My Devices, however when I am trying to add the same laptop to the Sky movies & Sky sports section, nothing happens when I select Available Device Slot. Both slots are available

Your device will get added automatically to the Sky device list when you log into the Sky Movies or Sky Sports website for the first time and stream a channel.

Re: SKY MOVIES & SKY SPORTS DEVICE REGISTRATION

I have my iPhone registered for Sky Sports as I have the Sports Package through Virgin but when I go to watch it on my MAC it won't let me watch it

I have gone into the My Virgin Media and it says only my iPhone is registered.

How do I register my MAC as the slot is available but there is nothing there to add a device

Do I have to be at home to set this up as I am not at the moment? That is the only thing I can think

Re: SKY MOVIES & SKY SPORTS DEVICE REGISTRATION

It looks as if there were issues with the streaming on Wednesday evening for VM customers.

Re: SKY MOVIES & SKY SPORTS DEVICE REGISTRATION

I have tried today but still unable to watch through the new Sky Sports portal

It keeps telling me there is problems with Silverlight

I have uninstalled it all and downloaded it again without any luck

I can view other channels on Virgin Anywhere but Sky Sports is the problem as I am accessing through Sky website under Virgin link

I have logged a call with Virgin via the social media form after hanging on the phone for sometime but still no call and not resolved

Anyone else having this problem ?

Re: SKY MOVIES & SKY SPORTS DEVICE REGISTRATION

can you tell if your PC has updated Silverlight recently?

there's word out that SS on the web isn't up to working with the newest release of Silverlight

Re: SKY MOVIES & SKY SPORTS DEVICE REGISTRATION

Hi Egansmind,

There have been some reports of Silverlight being an issue.  First of all, could you right click on the screen you're streaming through and make sure Playback Protected content (DRM) is enabled. If it already is enabled try uninstalling and reinstalling silverlight again.  Let us know how you get on with this.

Re: SKY MOVIES & SKY SPORTS DEVICE REGISTRATION

Hi

I am having a similar issue with sky sports device registration.  I have 2 device changes remaining and I can even see the free slot when I go to the sky sports device registration tab in tv anywhere but for some reason it won't let me select the slot.

I have already used iPad which is working fully and taking up the first slot but I can't get my pc registered to use the second slot.  I have already tried using chrome and internet explorer and also reducing security filters to allow cookies to work more readily?

I also tried logging in directly to sky sports website because I read that this would automatically register your device which also did not work. All that happened there is that it signs me in, accepts my access but then gives me some sort of error code (which presumably because I haven't got the device registered with virgin... any ideas?

Thanks

Re: SKY MOVIES & SKY SPORTS DEVICE REGISTRATION

Tried absolutely everything

Re-installed Silverlight but still not working

and I still have received no call back from Virgin Technical Support

I also have the same problem with regards to the slots available.

I am unable to add another device on my MACBOOK despite having a spare slot.

All works fine on my iphone Sky Sports App

Virgin need to sort this
