Last night I attempted to register my ipad mini 4, to use the tv anywhere app. This appeared successful, however when I try and watch anything I get the message that I need to register the device and despite the fact that my ipad is still listed, it is not recognised.
I cannot re add it as I have no device changes left this month, this is SO frustrating.
What can I do to make this work? My subscription only began 6 days ago and I really don't want to have to cancel during my cooling off period, but this service was a major draw for me. If I can't get it working I may need to reconsider.
I had this happen to me today on a registered Samsung tablet so I selected the 'register' option to bring up the registration screen and clicked on my registered device as shown and the program I wanted to watch started to play! I hope this is of help to you.
Thanks, but just tried that and unfortunately clicking on my registered device does nothing.
It looks like I can select the device (at least the line is highlighted) and then click on "BACK TO TV ANYWHERE" have the option to return to the app, but then I get the "Device Registration Required" message......grrrr.
Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. Apologies to hear you've been having an issue streaming TV Anywhere
If you updated the app or the OS then you would need to re-register your device. It's easy to do though so don't worry.
Using a PC/Laptop go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings. Remove the current registration by clicking on the Delete button. Once you've done this, using the device you are trying to re-register, open up TV Anywhere and log in. Try to stream Channel 4 and this should then prompt you to register the device.
I have added a device change for you to use so if you follow the prompts on the screen, this will register the device for you and streaming will then commence
Let me know how things go.
