No tv from updated app

Since updating the TV anywhere app, I am no longer able to watch TV on my iphone. It worked perfectly before. Any ideas?

Hi Josec,

 

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. Apologies to hear you've been having an issue streaming TV Anywhere Smiley Sad 

 

Whenever you update the app or the OS then you would need to re-register your device. It's easy to do though so don't worry. 

 

Using a PC/Laptop go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings. Remove the current registration by clicking on the Delete button. Once you've done this, using the device you are trying to re-register, open up TV Anywhere and log in. Try to stream Channel 4 and this should then prompt you to register the device.

 

I have added a device change for you to use so if you follow the prompts on the screen, this will register the device for you and streaming will then commence Smiley Happy

Hi Kath,

 

I have tried re-registering my iphone and still not working.

 

I click on the required channel and it says connecting, then one moment then comes out of the app.

 

Any other ideas?

What is the iOS version you are running on your device? 

 

Are you able to try using TV Anywhere on any other device to see if this works?

I am on IOS 7.1.2.

 

I've not tried it on any other device as I only have 1 registration remaining.

Hi Jose,

 

You don't need to worry about device changes when we're doing checks as we can add more on for you.

 

If you can try TV Anywhere on another device for us I'll add another change on for you.

Hi Josec, 

Thanks for coming back to us on this and we're really glad the app is working on your iPad now Smiley Happy

We're only able to add one device change per month and as Josh has already added one, we need to wait til next month now. The good thing is at 12am tonight, the device changes refresh so you should be able to re-register your device then.
