New IOS App

The new IOS update is a joke. When you install it you have to re-register your device which means you could be locked out for a month if you have already made a change in that month. How can any competent company make such a mistake. My confidence in Virgin Media is at an all time low.

Re: New IOS App

Hi jb30,

Thanks for your post and apologies you were not aware of this before updating.

When you go to the update in the App Store it does warn you there that you may need to re-register the device. This is the case for any updates whether it be iOS or Android.

Have you been able to re-register your device yet?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Re: New IOS App

At the time I looked at the update I can assure you there was no warning. In some of the reviews there were some people having problems. I need to update two devices and it is still not allowing me to re-register the iPads

Re: New IOS App

I have to disagree with @jb30. I updated the app on day 1 and the warning was definitely there.

I recall this because I was surprised that I didn't have to re-register.

Re: New IOS App

Hi jb30,

The warning was was shown under the 'What's New' section.

It shows as:

UI improvements and bug fixes.

You may be required to re-register your device when you watch TV.

If you go to the App Store on your device and into Updates you'll have any apps that need updating. After this it will show you any apps you recently updated by Date. You should see the TV Anywhere app there along with the information I've posted above.

Thanks,

Re: New IOS App

Hindsight is a wonderful thing as they say and I will make  sure that I delay any updates until there is more positive feedback available in future.

Judging by the amount of people unaffected by the update it seems I was unlucky this time. All fixed now thanks to intervention by Customer services
