I have registered my iphone with the ap but now get message to say I am not connected to my TIVO box. Can I only use this service whilst in the same location as my broadband/tv rather than 'on the go' as this service suggests? Confused
This message is misleading.
What are trying to do when you get this message?
Are you trying to watch a recording from My Shows? This is not possible.
Are you trying to watch a channel which is not marked with a wifi symbol? Only channels with a wifi symbol can be streamed?
Are you connected via mobile data? Although you can manage TiVo resources while connected to mobile data, you must be wifi-connected to stream those channels that can be streamed.

When you initially register a device via our TV Anywhere service, it first needs to make contact with your equipment before you can stream.
Therefore, it does require you to set it up whilst you are in the same location as your services.
Once it has made a connection with your TiVo®, you can then use the service via WiFi elsewhere.
