I can't connect virgin media to iPad,

hi 

i cannot connect virgin media to the iPad. I have tried connecting the Ethernet cable to TiVo box to the super hub, it works. But once I take out the Ethernet cable it stops working, it says connect to network. How do you stream virgin meadow without the Ethernet cable, please help been going round the bend, and virgin media are not much help on the phone.

you can not. to access to tivo box form the ipad you need to have the tivo connected to your network

you need to have a ethernet cable between the tivo and superhub

Yes I have done that. I have Ethernet cable to the TiVo box and then to the super hub. It does work, but once I take the Ethernet cable it looses connection. I have also enabled the settings on the TiVo box.

you can't remove the ethernet cable if you want to use the ipad with the tivo. you have to keep it connected.

Oh right! That's a bit of a problem as the TiVo box and the super hub are in different rooms. I had buy 3meter Ethernet cable! So if the Ethernet cable is connected and then I go to my friends house will it still work?

you will not be able to access the box from hte ipad but if you are connected to wifi anywhere then the streaming channels on tv anywhere will work

Ok, is there no other way apart from the Ethernet cable being connected?

I think we need clarity here.

What is it that you want to do with the TV Anywhere app on your iPad?

The vast majority of TV Anywhere app function does not require your TiVo connected to your home network Superhub.

You get the 'TiVo not connected' message when you are trying something that needs it connected.

So what are you trying to do?

If you say 'watch a channel' then I'm almost certain you're trying a channel without the wifi, streaming symbol.
