Home network streaming set up problem

Hi - I'm new to Virgin with 2 mini boxed installed for the first time a couple of weeks ago.   I haven't been able to connect to stream recordings or download recordings onto my iPad, but can watch live TV on wireless.  When I try to set up streaming devices I get a "set up error".  The help pages say I should connect an Ethernet capable from the TiVo to the hub which wasn't installed. I have tried this, but it hasn't fixed the error.  Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Is at least one of your TV boxes the new V6 box? As you need one of those for the features you're trying to use, the older TiVo boxes only allow streaming of live TV\Catch up and control of the box via the app.

Yes - they are both Virgin TV V6 TiVo - the new little ones. Thanks

The failure happens when it says "checking software version" - the first of 4 steps. Then it says "set up did not complete successfully".  Any ideas? Thanks

I'm having this problem too on my iPad.  Works ok on my phone tho...anyone have any answers yet?

Hi Debow72,

 

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you are having an issue setting up the streaming on your iPad. 

 

Rather than trying to manually set it up, once logged in, go to the Watch Now section. Select a channel and try streaming. Do you get the same error or is this different?
