E=15 v=1 error code - help!

I have been trying for months to get the new TV Anywhere app working but always get the error code E=15 V=1. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Alpha SM-G850F running android 5.0.2.

Can anyone please help?

Thanks!

Re: E=15 v=1 error code - help!

Sorry to hear this Brett10001,

I'd like to look into this for you but I'm unable to locate your account information at the moment.

To allow me to do so, could you respond via private message with the following information:

  • Name of the account holder
  • Home address

Hope to hear back from you soon,

Nat_J

Re: E=15 v=1 error code - help!

Hi Brett10001,

Thanks for sending your details across to Nat Smiley Happy

The first thing we need to try is deleting the app from your device. If you can do this for me. Then using a PC/Laptop go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings. Remove the current registration by clicking on the Delete button. Reinstall the App on your device again.

Once you've done this, using the device you are trying to re-register, open up TV Anywhere and log in. Try to stream Channel 4 and this should then prompt you to register the device.

I have added a device change for you to use so if you follow the prompts on the screen, this will register the device for you and streaming will then commence Smiley Happy

Let me know how things go.

Re: E=15 v=1 error code - help!

Hello,

I've followed the same guidelines (uninstalled app, de-register device, reinstall app, chose channel to stream e.g. channel 4, followed prompt to re-register device) but still have same error message and cannot watch channel. Any advice or suggestions to fix this? I have a non-rooted Samsung Galaxy Note 4 running Android 6.0.1. TV Anywhere version is v4.1.0-999384.

I hope you can help!

Hi brianking1973,

Thanks for posting!

Really sorry to hear you're having trouble with TV Anywhere too.

I've resynchronised your subscriptions and added another device change. Could you try re-registering the app for me?

Speak soon

Josh

E=29 v=-1 error code

I have error code e=29 v=-1 'streaming this show is prohibited by the copyright holder' when trying to watch a streaming channel (e.g. 104 Channel 4) via VM wifi on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phone on android 6.0.1 but do not get this error code with my iPad. Any suggested fixes? Oddly, I can download a show and watch it on my phone but not on the iPad.

Re: E=29 v=-1 error code

Hi brianking1973,

Thanks for getting back to me!

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble with this.

If it's working on the iPad then that rules out an account issue, which is good. It does indicate that the issue possibly lies with the device itself. Has TV Anywhere every worked on your Galaxy Note 4?
