Device won't register

Trying to use TV Anywhere on my Nexus 2013 running Android 5.0.2

Not used TV Anywhere before so when I try to watch the "register device?" message comes up, followed by the screen showing two available device slots.

I enter a device name and tap register.  The spinning logo comes up for a few seconds, then it just goes back to the screen showing two available slots again.

I've tried restarting the app, cleared the app data and cache, no change.

Anyone else got this problem?

Re: Device won't register

Hi SoundEngineer,

Thanks for your post and apologies for the issues you are having trying to register your device.

This is something that usually happens. Do any error messages come up?

It's possible it doesn't like what you are trying to name the device. Are you using any special characters?

Does it show any changes left to use this month?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Re: Device won't register

Hi Kath,

No error messages were appearing, the page was simply reloading and showing the two slots as available.

I actually got it sorted in the end when I changed the name I was giving the device.

It was orginally "Nexus" which wouldn't register, but when I changed it to "Daves Nexus" it seemed to go through fine...  Is there a character lower limit that I wasn't aware of?

Re: Device won't register

Hi SoundEngineer,

It's possible. Usually it only takes into account special characters but i'm wondering if it doesn't like anything that isn't personal.

I'm glad things are sorted for you now though Smiley Happy

If you have any further issues, let me know.

Take care,
