Re: Device could not be detected.

Hi Doogynicholson,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums.

I'm sorry to hear that your PC is not being detected. Can you delete your cache, cookies and browser history and try again for me.

What browser are you using?
have you got any other devices registered for TV Anywhere?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Re: Device could not be detected.

I'm having the same problem. I have been using TV anywhere for two months now on the same laptop and it has been fine but now I keep getting the same issue, Device not detected. I am using Safari on Mac. I have deleted the cache, history etc, but still nothing? And I have deleted the device and re added it. Any suggestions would be great, as it's my only way to watch TV Smiley Sad

I too am having the same problem. Running Chrome and Windows XP on a Dell desktop PC. Internet connection is via a Virgin Media router.

Hi JoJo6,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having an issue with streaming TV via TV Anywhere.

I'd love to take a closer look at things for you however i've been unable to locate your account. I have sent you a private message requesting some information from you and once I receive you reply, I can check things out Smiley Happy

Re: Device could not be detected.

Hi rogerdymock,

Thanks for your post.

I'm sorry that you seem to be having the same issue.

One thing I have noticed the last few days is that Chrome users are having the same issue.
I believe there may have been an update to knock the TV Anywhere out of joint.

Chrome isn't supported for TV Anywhere as it uses an application called Pepper Flash. You'll need to disable this for TV Anywhere to work.

Let me know how things go.

Thanks,

Re: Device could not be detected.

Hi JoJo,

Thanks for coming back to me with your information Smiley Happy

Ok, looking at things this end I can see that there is 1 device registered and you have one device change left to us for this month.

As you are using Safari, the previous post to another user wouldn't help you out.

I would make sure your cookies are set to Always on your browser to see if this helps.

When logging into anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings

Are you now able to see you device?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Re: Device could not be detected.

Hi PDavies,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums.

Apologies that this issue is causing you problems Smiley Sad

As you've already run the basic checks can you please log in to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings.

Are there any other devices registered? Sometime this error can come up if your device list is full.

Let me know.

Thanks,
