Device Registration Problem - Not recognized, Limit Reached

Hi,

Upon watching a channel on TV Anywhere, I was given the message "This device is not registered." I registered the device previously but decided to delete it thinking it would work. However, it didn't work and now I am left without devices and without TV.

I hope you can do something about the problem, since I deleted my Laptop too (which was registered and not recognized either) and can't watch TV at all. I used the same Device and Browser both times, and it would not recognize it.

O/s were Windows 10 and Windows 7 on the laptop.

Please help, I don't know what to do now and have to wait until September to watch TV.

Hi, I'm having the same problem.. Just registered this new device, a Samsung tablet, and the Sky Sports app says the device is not registered.

 

As I understand, both apps are not synced, so how do I get the sky app registered each time without requesting on this forum?

Hi Robert12348579, 

 

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you are having an issue streaming from TV Anywhere. 

 

I have gone into the account and added a device change for you to use to register one of the devices. 

 

All you need to do is open up TV Anywhere website and log in. Try to stream Channel 4 and this should then prompt you to register the device. 

 

Follow the prompts on the screen and this will register the device for you and streaming will then commence Smiley Happy

 

We're only able to add 1 device change per month so once this is used, you'll need to wait until the 1st September to add the 2nd device.

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you are also having the same issue. 

 

I have added a device change for you too. For TV Anywhere, as you already have a device registered you will need to remove it first. It's really easy to do though. 

 

Using a PC/Laptop go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings. Remove the current registration by clicking on the Delete button. Once you've done this follow the advice I posted above to re-register the device. 

 

For the Sky Sports app, I've already removed the registration so try streaming again and things should work. 

 

Going forward, you can manage the devices you have registered for use with the Sky platform by going to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Sky Movies & Sky Sports.

It works fine now thanks very much.

 

Is it possible to stream HD channels on Virgin Anywhere? It seems it only has SD quality

Currently the TV Anywhere app is only capable of streaming SD channels.
