Cannot use the app

I am the new customer of the Virgin. I got a full house package and I wanted to start using the TV on the Go cause for now I dont have a TV bought yet. After I login in the app there is a bubble with written Tivo Box has lost connectivity. Why the app need a TV for that if I want to use it outside my house? And I am using data outside not Wifi. Please help.

If you don't have a TV, is your TiVo box switched on? As far as I recall, TV Anywhere won't work if the TiVo isn't on.

No I didnt plug it cause I am waiting to buy a TV. So if I will on the box without TV the app will start working outside of the house? And can I use the app using data?

When TV Anywhere isn't connected to WiFi you can use the app to find shows and set them to record on your TiVo box

TV Anywhere needs to be connected to WiFi in order to watch Live TV and On Demand.
