Buffering or not working

Couldn't get Yesterday 243 to work at all.  Gross repeating on 245  Today.  Reported another service the other day.  When this starts with one, then two stations then eventually most will fail.

Why can't this very LIMITED service, lets face it, all the programmes that are available are repeats of repeats, that are repeating all week, then again on Saturday  -  although this isn't directly Virgins fault, merely the services they plugin to.

But by anyone's standards its a lot of repeats.

Re: Buffering or not working

Hi severnbore,

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear about the issues you have been having watching these channels.

In order to help I will need some further information from you.

Are you using the Online or App version of TV Anywhere?

If online version:

What OS is your PC/Laptop running?

What browser are you using and which version is it?

What version of Flash Player are you using?

Do you get anything different if trying another browser?

If app version:

What is the make and model of your device?

What OS is the device running?

Have you used the app on this or any other devices previously?

Let me know so we can help further with this.

Re: Buffering or not working

I'm running windows 10 i.e. 11  All fully updated.

This is not an issue with the computer or browser IMHO

As programmes can be watched on the same browser, i.e. ITV & BBC and most of Anywhere, most of the time.  Also UKTVlive - which is actually what most of the Virgin plugins are, but UKTVlive is the library, rather than ''live'' as it's title suggests, again these work fine.

When  glitches appear on various Channels, adverts however can run fine.

I think yesterday, it was 292  Today for example it's ID 170 doing a repeating cycle.

As for trying ANOTHER BROWSER, . firefox, be aware if you do that, you sign OUT of your current browser Anywhere account & then use up the monthly option and can't then sign back into i.e.  In my case, I much prefer i.e. since you can vary the size of text & player, I use at 150% sometimes rather than full screen.   Firefox, doesn't offer this option.  Therefore you CAN'T run two Anywhere on the same computer with TWO BROWSERS.   In any event, Firefox, does not offer any lasting benefits.

I wish I had the answer or even suggestions,  but when you have watched the same old dross served up, week after week, month & year - when  you see something worthy of a fresh look - it can be marred by buffering or repeating,  repeating, is actually the most annoying & unwatchable.

But I feel unless, we the users report these issues they can't be recognised.

Thanks.

Re: Buffering or not working

Hi severnbore,

Thanks for coming back to me on this one Smiley Happy

OK, since posting, we have made some improvements to TV Anywhere in the background.

Can you try again for me to see if there has been any difference.

Let me know.

Thanks,
