Browsers

As most people do I use a couple of browsers. If I log on with Firefox having registered the computer with Edge it is see as a different device. Nothing else has changed just the browser, it is a desktop PC. This seems more than ludicrous. So now I am locked out until November for having used Firefox from the same computer!

Re: Browsers

Yes, TV Anywhere is quite prescriptive when it comes to browsers. Sky too, and the restrictions are different in Windows 10 to previous versions.  It's a similar story with Sky premium channels (but the restrictions are different). After suggesting it for about 6 months, they did put a sticky on this forum saying that Chrome is no longer supported. That's now gone, but you'd think that VM might want to save themselves a lot of time by just making these browser restrictions clear and easy to find.

Registering the same device in a different browser will take up your 2nd device slot, but shouldn't stop your original registration from working unless you have deleted it. In any event, it sounds like you might need an additional device change. One of the web team will pick up this post in 1-10 days & arrange this for you; if you need it sooner, get on chat or on the phone & request one.

FYI it isn't the browser itself that is seen as a different device, but the instance of Flash. Multiple instances of Flash are seen by TVA as different devices.
