Blank screen on Sky Sports and Cinema

Hi

I've just had a device registration problem sorted by Kath but by some means my access to Sky Sports and Cinema has been disrupted...

All seems to work as advertised but when the program is supposedly streaming all that is displayed is a blank screen

Thanks for your post and for coming back to the forums. Smiley Happy

 

Apologies to hear you now have a different issue affecting you. 

 

Blank screens are usually issues with Silverlight. Make sure you are using the latest version. The best way to ensure this is to un-install it and then re-download it from the website. 

 

Make sure cookies are set to Always in your browser too. 

 

What OS is your PC / Laptop running here?

Hello again Kath

My laptop is running Windows 10

I've done the Silverlight reload and things have changed in as much as I now get a pop up telling me about registered devices again, however the 'normal' Virgin channels are still ok and stream fine. So I haven't got to streaming yet...

Are the Sports/Cinema devices different to the 'normal' ones?

I have the same issue through Safari, which I have always used for this purpose.  Help!

Thanks again for coming back to me on this Smiley Happy

 

The TV Anywhere and Sky platforms are separate and therefore not synced so any changes made to one, also need to be made to the other. 

 

I have gone in to the account and added a device change for you. If you try streaming from now I'm hoping streaming will start.

Thanks for your post and apologies to hear you are having the same issue as John. 

 

You haven't mentioned in your post whether you've tried what I've posted previously. If not can you give it a go. 

 

> Remove Silverlight from your device and do a complete new installation of it. 

> Ensure any updates for your OS and browser are fully completed.

> Make sure your cookies are set to always on your browser. 

 

I have reset the Sky platform for you now so there are no devices and you have 1 change to use to add the new device. Once you've done the above if you try streaming, it should work.
