I've recently lost the ability to live stream on the app with both my iPhone iPad have re registered but still no luck.
It was working perfectly fine 2 weeks ago. But I don't have the wifi sign on any channels only TV OD NETFLIX IPLAYER ETC.
Some help would be greatly appreciated

Re: Anywhere app streaming probs

Hi Gmac14,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forums. It's great to see a new face getting involved with the Community Smiley Happy

I'm really sorry to hear that you are having an issue streaming from your devices.

In order for us to help you further, can you answer the following:

What is the make and model of your device?
What OS is the device running?

Let me know so I can then help further.

Thanks,

Re: Anywhere app streaming probs

Hi Gmac14,

Thanks for coming back to me on this. It's great to hear everything is already up to date.

When you're viewing the listings on the app, are the streaming channels showing? When you click on them do you have the option to Watch on Device or only Watch on TV?

Are you able to switch the TV listings to streaming channels only? Do any show once you've done this?

Let me know.

Thanks,

Re: Anywhere app streaming probs

Hi Gmac14,

Thanks again for sticking with me on this.

OK, so I've gone into the account and added a device change for you to use. Using a PC / Laptop, can you please go to anywhere.virginmedia.com > My Profile > Device Settings. Delete your phone so it's no longer registered and then delete the app from your phone.

Once you've done this, re-download the app on your phone and proceed to set it up as though this is the first time. Looking at the channels, are any streamable visible now?

Select Channel 4 and try to watch this. It should prompt you to register the device.

Let me know how you get on.

Thanks,

Re: Anywhere app streaming probs

Hi Kath,

I've done all that. But even after I've deleted the app (which I now have updated IOS and tv anywhere app) there is still no streaming channels.
However it's seemed to work for my iPad (also had updated IOS and Virgin app).
Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Anywhere app streaming probs

Hi Gmac14,

Thanks once again for your patience with this and for sticking with me.

It's really strange how it's worked on one device and not the other.

I've tested a few different devices here and am not able to replicate the issue. As it's working on one device we've been able to rule out this being an account issue.

The next step would be to perform a factory reset on the device that's still not working. It's worth noting that once you do this, your iPhone will be like new so make sure you back everything up before doing this.

Let me know how that goes.

Thanks,
