www.laundrymonsters.com / Virgin Media Child Safe has blocked this site

I am the owner and creator of Laundry Monsters an animation project which is for as family/kids audience, and I was recently told that by a virgin media user that if you go to:

http://www.laundrymonsters.com/

the virgin media user is being redirected to:

http://websafe.virginmedia.com/childsafe-blocked.htm

This is erroneous and harmful to my Laundry Monsters brand, can you please explain

1) how this could have happened in the first place

2) How quickly you can update Virgin Media Child Safe to unblocked this site

Kind regards

Hi AlexBDawson,

Apologies if your website has not yet been deemed as appropriate for our younger customers. Of course this will only affect those of our customers who use our Child Safe online protection. But we do make continued amendments to our lists of restricted/accessible sites based on customer feedback, plus customers can edit their own block/allow lists.

If you know someone who has Virgin Media services please ask them to:

  • Access My Virgin Media
  • Select 'Web Safe' from the 'My Apps' tab
  • Click on 'Websites' and edit the block/allowed sites list (that will suffice for individual users)
  • Or click on the 'Report a Website that you think should be blocked or should be allowed'  link (this will affect the site restriction for all users)(see pic below)

Hope this helps Smiley Happy

@AlexBDawson

You might want to double check with the person who originally reported it but it looks as if this may have been dealt with already.

I've just turned on Virus Safe and Child Safe and followed this up with a visit to your site from my laptop.  I was able to get to the site without being blocked.  I tested using multiple browsers.

Thanks Jen but I have specifically taken the time to set up an account here and message you with the sole purpose of you fixing this for me, how can I be expected to have to fix this myself by asking someone else 'who is a Virgin User' to do this - so I hope you can do this or arrange for someone in your team to resolve this on my behalf.
