Dont know if you are aware yet, but the YouTube app on the TiVo box provided has had the parental lock removed in the latest update. I have two kids and the older one is very curious to look up inappropriate things after hearing about them at school. We have signed up to websafe but since VirginMedia have removed the parental lock on the youTube App (not the channel) the have exposed kids to all the inappropriate content that exists on youTube. This is incredibly irresponsible and I have raised an official complaint with VirginMedia, whose current response is to say its not their problem.
I would urge all parents to contact virgin media to demand this parental lock be put back on, I have already found highly inappropriate material on my TiVo box which wasnt previously accessible to my kids.
If you didnt realise this, dont worry you are not the first, as I spoke to several Virgin media customer service reps and none of them knew this happened, and have no answer for it except to say its YouTube's problem, not theirs.
I find it shocking that a media company like Virgin Media, who claim to have our kids protection at the core of their service, can be so wreck less and dismissive of parents concerns.
Due to the explicit nature of some content on hayu, Curzon and Cinema Trailers, you can block, lock or unlock access to each app.

Select Help & Settings .
Choose Parental Controls, then tap in your PIN.

You’ll see the Apps in a list, and you can mark them as Blocked, Locked or Unlocked: Blocked - no one can access the app and it will not be shown on your TiVo box Locked - you’ll have to enter your Virgin Media PIN before the accessing this app Unlocked - anyone can access this app.
