very slow speeds in area 04 and 5ghz gone disappeared.

Hi There

I used to get speeds up to 90 mbps and had the option of connecting to 2g or 5g! my speeds have now dropped to 40mbps and below and 5g connection has gone. my neighbour has the same problem.

service status says all good???????

I take it you are connecting wirelessly to the hub?

If so I would test the speed wired to get a true reflection on what actual speeds the hub is getting.

What version of the hub do you have?

I would bear in mind neighbouring wireless networks can conflict with each other, so it might be worth changing wireless channel.

yes connecting wirelessly , hub not too sure but only 1 year old but as i said i used to get the 5g but it has now gone and since it went my speeds dropped.

If it is the SH2 (VMDG 490 it will be printed on hub) then it might be worth doing a factory reset on the hub, I have had similar problems with my SH2. I would bear in mind a factory reset will reset all passwords\passphrases, SSIDs etc. back to their default values printed on the hub.

Area 04 is oversubscribed.

Heard it directly from VM on the phone.
Left VM 9th Jan 2017 due to high utilisation. Enjoying reliable services with Sky Smiley Happy
