utilization going on issue in the finc17 area

Since June have been posting about my speed issues, When i last had a engineer out he said there a utilization issues but only peaked at 8% what isn't enough to report however the last 2 days it has been so slower then before but only between 7pm-11pm (weekdays) and 9pm-11pm mostly weekend is worse!!, Yes i know is not much of a time slot but between 7pm-11pm is the most where i use my broadband and is gone to a point where my downloads are going from 2Mb then jumps to 7Mb back to 5Mb sometime the odd 20Mb but then drops in speed. The speed issues is affecting both PC and Xbox One, When im gaming at these hours of 7pm-11pm is gone to point where im lagging into games, Racing and FPS are mainly i try and avoid theses hours but why should i? I should beadle to enjoy gaming and any game in my spare time (when not working) Smiley Happy

This was still a going issue before i got given a Hub 3, So the Hub 3 isn't an issue, also my device are all wired, Xbox One, PC, I have checked all my device to see if anything is download but nothing is flashing at the back of the hub (a few flickers on PC LAN but nothing that's constantly flashing away)

About 9:45pm i downloaded a Stream game (PC) 04/10/2016 but this was very slow downloading between 4mb-11mb sometime 15mb but drops down in speed, I tryed selecting diff rent servers but i was still facing the same issues, Also checked again if anything was flashing at the back the Hub 3 but only the PC lan was flashing away.

12:13am everything seem back to normal, Is just a case of hours between 7pm-11pm, Will give another traceroute when i noticed speeds dropping.

Re: utilization going on issue in the finc17 area

Afternoon francisuk1989

Thanks for posting on the community. It's nice to have you here.

Sorry to read that you are experiencing issues with your broadband connection.

I've checked the network and the traffic is running low with no issues.

Have you noticed this issue since you last posted? If so are you able to post some speed test results whilst the Hub 3.0 is in modem mode please?

Hope to hear from you soon

Sam

Re: utilization going on issue in the finc17 area

Morning francisuk1989,

Thanks for getting back to me and I'm sorry for the late response.

There was a fault in your area in regards to SNR which closed down late evening on the day you posted (23rd October). Looking at the network this morning, it is showing as clear with no errors.

How are things your side? Has there been an improvement with the connection?

Speak soon

Sam

No!, Its really still slow between 7pm-11pm weekdays and weekends are even worse however sunday would be the worst weekend, I have setup a thinkbroadband on my gateway IP as i cant ping my local Hub 3 http://www.thinkbroadband.com/ping/share/b14983b1ad0dc95347c32367480a043a.html there a problem somewhere from me to my local node, If virgin media re saying my local CMTS is clear then theres a issue somewhere along the line

Re: utilization going on issue in the finc17 area

Hi francisuk1989,

Thanks for the reply.

From the last BQM you posted the connection is much better, which is great Smiley Happy

The information you posted from the router's network log, these are fine. If you are seeing T3 time-outs, MDD time-outs then post the entire log for us to take a look.

In the meantime, monitor the connection and if there are any further issues by all means let me know.

Regards

Sam
