slow wireless router

I'm still having terrible internet speeds via my wireless super router so I connected via Ethernet cable and "heh presto" I'm now reading 63mb download so I'm assuming something to do with the wireless side (I'm on mac btw) I am unable to reach my router to connect directly as I work in a different room so this causes a problem for me.

Could someone please suggest a solution?

Regards

Gerry.

Re: slow wireless router

Move your computer
Get a long Ethernet cable and run it along your skirting boards etc
Don't use wireless
Try powerline adapters.

That's your short list.

Re: slow wireless router

Was at work so didn't have time for long detailed answers but that is your options to get the speed.

With powerline adapters it depends on your homes electrics as to what speed you will get (and the quality of the adapter itself)

Another option is getting a good 3rd party AC router and getting an AC network card for your MAC.
