poor performance at peak times

My broadband has been awful the past few weeks during the early evening

 This is over the last 24 hours, from 6pm the ping time is spiking all over the place and packet loss is at times really high.

At each time my connection is not being used, this a problem on the virgin network.

Any assistance would be really appreciate to get this fixed.

Really sorry to hear you're experiencing speed issues.

 

I've located your account and I can see an issue with the network in your area affecting speeds at peak times - Ref.(F004227847). Our technicians are working to get this resolved and have set a review date of 12th April 2017.

Definitely pointing at the correct IP and as you can see the performance is shocking between approximately 6pm and Midnight.

Connection seems ok right now, just did a speedtest and downloads and ping times(albeit to a virgin test server) are fine.

So i'm assuming my local connection is just congested...

Can any support be offered for this? Or would i simply be better off calling the phone support? I posted here previously and had some decent assistance..

Any update on this, the 12th has been and gone, but performance remains terrible at peak times

Thanks for getting back to us.

 

I've taken a look at the traffic fault and our engineers are still working on this to improve bandwidth with a review date of 24th May. As this is a review date it can be subject to change.
