Don't worry, it wasn't just you. This seemed to affect many Virgin connections last night but I don't know what caused it.

I thought it might of been my neighbour watching iplayer and hogging all the bandwith..

My Broadband Ping - Hub 3 RouterHad this too... Not sure what is wrong but my broadband is at snails pace today. Im getting about 5mb down on a supposedly 200mb download connection.

Edit: i think its down to thinkbroadband host as if you ping, ping.thinkbroadband.com its in the 130-140ms. once its out of the high ping its back to normal, so it's not Virgin Media site but thinkbroadband host site.

Thats just what I was hinking a problem at TBB, getting full speed at speedtest.net but a really bad speed at TBB

What are your actual file download speeds like? The TBB single thread test usually reflects real download speeds.

And yes the hump is back again.

ookla and ovh  speedtest are showing top speeds but the TBB one is terrible thatswhy I'm agreeing that the hump is a problem with TBB

It has happened again. Some problem with the connection between virgin and netconnex networks.
