Hi MrBungle

Thanks for posting back on the community.

I've checked the high peak time traffic fault in your area with a reference number if F003369911 and our engineers are still working on this to improve bandwidth.

The review date is now showing as 26th October.

Apologies for the delay and inconvenience caused. One of my colleagues will be in touch shortly with more information.

Regards

Sam

Was it for over Utilization

If so, same fault code but date in November / December likely.

Re: fault type F003279863 update pls.

Hi Mr Bungle,

Thanks for coming back to us here for an update on this fault.

Checking things today, the latest update is that the work is now scheduled to go ahead.

We're estimating that this will be completed by the 14th December although there is a chance this could change.

We're really sorry that this date keeps getting extended although now the works have been scheduled we should see a more positive result.

Pop back for an update.

Thanks,

Kath_F

Re: fault type F003279863 update pls.

I'm also in area 20 and I have just had an engineer out to check out my new superhub. Everything OK so he phoned VM and he was informed that my drastic reduction in download speeds is down to fault. F003279863. The engineer was informed that work is due to be completed on 17th May 2017!!!! Such a precise date.

I certainly wish I had refused the boost to 200mbps and the exchange of my faithful old SH1 for a SH3 .

7:30pm pm and getting 6mbps download speed .

@jocatz

The date given is just a review date not a fix date. VM do not give FIX dates (except the script readers, whose scripts tell them they are FIX dates)

All the internet comes down the same cables etc so taking the boost/not would not make a difference. Likely the uptake from everyone taking the boost did though.

Re: fault type F003279863 update pls.

Hi  ,  Thanks for your response.

My post was somewhat tongue in cheek. I am very aware that the fault in my area, and similar faults  in other high utilization areas can take months if not years to be sorted as the solution is very expensive. I was just amused that such a precise long term  fix date was given to the attending engineer when he phoned up VM to check for any known faults.

What gets me is that VM are aware of how long  it will be before they can actively work on an actual fix for this type of over utilisation problem and yet still encourage all  customers to believe that they can all get the speeds that are advertised.

I will  keep my fingers crossed that my download soon speeds improve and that the Forum Team member   Kath_F's  information  that the work has a scheduled start date and that  "We're estimating that this will be completed by the 14th December"  is what will actually happen, and that  the information given to the VM engineer who visited me  this week will not result  in her  "although there is a chance this could change. " coming true.

Jo.

Re: fault type F003279863 update pls.

To be fair I glossed over that bit. If you've been given an estimated fix by the forum LOT then that is an estimated fix not review date. Actually seems promising.
