even turpin wears a mask! area 14 barnsley s70

i have been paying for 100mb for over a year, lately i cant get 5mb (not fit for purpose)

spoke to vm and advised me it is a over subscribed area.

so, i have decided to only pay for 50mb, why pay for something i cant have.

today enough is enough down to 2.2mb, im still in my cooling off period

surely i will be faster down the old copper lines with bt etc

any recommendations welcome

andy

Re: even turpin wears a mask! area 14 barnsley s70

I was given 2 solutions by vm staff on the phone

Leave and go for a full disconnection of services at a cost
or
Put up with it 'you do get a credit each month' attitude

As you can see not a word of when it could be fixed.

run a mile mate while you can at no cost

You're having issue too? I'm in area 14 myself and been having issues since last week, game lag, slow speeds, extender not wanting to cooperate anymore, I think its down to a software update my 2ac had, these problems only started since that happened to me. Dunno about you.

Hi there andy9466,

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

My apologies that you are experiencing slow broadband speeds. I know how frustrating this can be.

From checking your connection, I can see the high peak time traffic fault in your area which is causing slow speeds. Our networks team are investigating the problem and are improving bandwidth and performance to help with this issue. The reference number is F003527183 and has a review date of 26th April.

Also the downstream power levels are too high and for this I would like to arrange an engineer appointment to adjust these for you. I've sent you a PM (purple envelope icon, right corner) with some details for you to confirm please.

Hope to hear from you soon

Sam
