area 31 - under 20mb for my "200mb" service. what the hell COME ON VM AGAIN AGAIN WHY?!!

 

 

not much more to say. sort it the hell out and give us refunds you pathetic excuse for a company...oh, and stop selling more connections when you havent even got the capacity to cope with existing customers. you are the worst ISP company I have ever come across, and we all hate you very, very much.

I'm in area 31 as well, noticed that internet seemed a bit slow so did some speed tests, been getting over 200MB consistently for ages.

First test 30ms ping to the server down the road, 8MB

Second test 100ms, 7MB

Third test 80ms, 3MB

Tried doing the 'test' on the service status page and it proceeded to just crap out my internet for an hour.

Though in my case I think it's dodgy power levels.

@leeh1986 your power levels look much too low, hopefully getting that resolved will get you back up to full speed. One of the forum team here will get in touch with you and arrange an engineer visit to correct it, but that takes 7-10 days. For a quicker response, you could try calling customer service on 150.

Area 22. Yup. As per usual I'm not even able to watch the movie I bought from iTunes. Yay. Thanks virgin £10 wasted on a movie that keeps stopping every few minutes - above the amount I'm paying you every month for my "200mb" service that doesn't even do 20 at weekends. Absolutely criminal.

So here is my fantastic 200mb link as you can see you can get the speed you pay for for around 4 hours a night!

Hi anachronism, 

 

Thanks for getting in touch, I am sorry to see you have also had trouble with your connection. 

 

I have taken a look and it seems that you are affected by fault ref F003357170 for slow speeds at peak times. This is currently with the planning team so I don't have a lot of news on this currently. We should know more after 01/02/2017.

 

I have popped this across to the team who deals with this type of issue and they will get in touch with you as soon as they can. 

 

I can also see that there is a little bit of trouble with the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) in your area which we will need to monitor. Let me know how your connection is over the next few days.

 

I am sorry that I do not have better news for you at this time.
