Emma thanks for the reply. The problem is not related to my line but somewhere in the virgin network! I have 2 virgin connections with almost identical graphs.
The problem looks like it's been dealt with by virgin ennineers around midnight last night so back to normal for now.

I agree .....where are the answers or some info about this problem . Would be nice to get some truth on this speed issue from the Virgin staff on this forum.

Welcome to the forums, I'm sorry to see you have been having trouble with your speeds.
Looking at your speeds it seems you are affected by fault ref F002612822 for slow speeds during peak times. This is currently with the planning team and we should have more news after 17/08/2016.
Is it only during peak times you're seeing slow speeds or are you seeing it at other times as well?

I am in area 20
and this is what I am getting now
Clearly a network problem with Area 20 as my graph shows.
Another one with low DL speeds in area 20.
I'm on vivid 100 and only get 3-4Mb during peak hours.
Like many people I work/sleep during VM's off peak hours.
Maybe I should flip this around and only pay 3-4% of my bill.

I'm on vivid200 and normally get around 206down, 12up.
