When I thought it couldn't get any worse....

Can barely load a webpage, it's getting worse every day now.

Look, even speedtest gave up and threw in the towel. 

0.31 on a 200mb line..... and nobody cares.

From checking your connection, there is a high peak time traffic fault in your area which is causing slow speeds. The reference number is F004836385 and has a review date of 5th April.

Thanks for getting in touch - you say review date? I was told April 5th was a date for it being fixed? It's awful, I'm getting speeds of 0.31 vs a supposed 200?

Pages sometimes load, sometimes don't. I can't even stream Spotify!

I quit virgin when I was out of contract, I was convinced to stay, partly by being offered a new router which I was told would resolve the issue, and I was basically lied to!

the review data means the line is oversubscribed not a fault just vm have sold too many users

welcome to vm

have you connected a cat5e cable to the router and "hardwired" rather than use wifi

Oh ok, thanks for the info.

All my speed tests are through main PC wired direct to the super hub (irony of the name isn't lost on me). Wifi is no better or worse, but house is configured with multiple powerline adapters and wifi extensions as range just doesn't reach.

Oh no another user that has been sold a service in an area that is already over sold when will Virgin Media learn and stop selling until an area is below a threshold so loyal customers actually get a decent proportion of bandwidth that is being paid for.

StevieW_uk please understand that a review date is exactly what it says just a review date this will not be a fix just look how many review dates I have had in the last 2 years and 3 months.......

Also being told a new router will fix it was a total lie yes ok the hub 3 allows extra downstream channels which may or may not give you that little extra speed but it will never fix an issue with to much demand on the limited available bandwidth.

If I was you I would get other broadband because waiting for Virgin to actually give you even 80% of what you pay for at peak times will be an extremely long one.

Wish I could find other broadband, but I'm tied into a crappy contract now.

Wouldn't mind, but have been with Virgin since it was Telewest and they launched Blueyonder, don't want to leave, but I do want working BB!

You are not tied in to any contract if you are in an over sold area you are free to leave just speak to retention's department.

Just noticed you said Area 04, same as me. We have different review dates though so guess it's not linked by area, we're in the WS10 postcode.
