Vivid 300

I'm on 300mbps package but constantly only getting 110 Mbps wireless. Should I downgrade as I take it that would be the same performance if I was on 200

Re: Vivid 300

what speed do you get wired?
If you have a good wireless AC card and router you can get 200 using wireless but it can depend on external factors

Re: Vivid 300

If you only use an iPhone 7 then vivid 300 is well over the top for your requirements, do you or anyone else in your property use wired devices that require that kind of speed?

Re: Vivid 300

Wireless is a fickle lady. Each wireless environment is different and will give different results. None are reliable.

If you are only using your phone you really don't need the package you are on - heck unless you are a heavy downloader/torrenting then you don't need anything above the base package (soon to be 100Mbs) at all, even then its way too high for day to day tasks.

Re: Vivid 300

If you want faster wireless speeds get a real wireless hub the HUB3 from VM is really not fit for purpose but in all honesty the speeds you are getting are great for mobile devices

Re: Vivid 300

If you're on a hub 3, which I believe you have to be for Vivid 300, then do yourself a favour and split the SSID names, then connect your phone to the 5Ghz network and test again. If range is a worry, add both and let the client decide. I've never found this "single SSID" thing to be any good at all.
