This represents a year's worth of my SamKnows 'downstream' performance data. My 200Mb/s upgrade was 27th July, and there seems to have been a big drop off in performance since then, especially over the last month. Anyone else seeing anything like this in PE29?
For much of the previous year before this chart, I was hitting 160Mb/s regularly (every day in fact). I'm guessing this is just increased usage on the part of other customers, just curious if i'm the only one seeing it. Aside from 2 days this year, upstream is a flatline at 12Mb/s for 2 years.
In the last week, the best I have got is 150Mb/s at 7am (which was an improvement on 80Mb/s at 4am!) so even in quiet times I am getting unexpected results.
Is this increased infrastructure usage, or do I have a fault somewhere? This is my downstream status page
It's all wired (the white box has to be, and it is wired up as it is meant to be) and performance doesn't seem to change even when i attach the modem directly to the laptop. I reset the modem a couple of times on Wednesday, and the error counts are now like this (sorry, i lose the format if i don't paste it all)
I can see that you have the Super Hub in modem mode. Have you got your own router attached for the wireless connection? If so can you complete speed tests at different times of the day direct to the Super Hub with your own equipment disconnected (leaving the Super Hub in modem mode), and while the PC/laptop is in Safe Mode with Networking please? When you use speedtest.net, select the default server and post a screen shot/link of the results. Do you get these speeds on another device?
<embarrassed cough> .... so it turns out that my Asus RT-66NU is a tad underpowered when you turn on parental controls. So underpowered that it can;t even update the management GUI during the test, and the single CPU core runs at 100% throughout. Turn it off and i'm seeing 150Mb/s + immediately. never occurred to me that might be the issue. looks like i need a more powerful router I guess.
Your power levels seem a bit low they should be around +3.5Db an engineer adjusted mine at the local cabinet. However Vivid 200 is not an upgrade its a downgrade. I had 152 and it worked fine upgraded to Vivid200 about 2 years ago and am lucky to get over 100mb in fact twice in that time.
