I have just had installed today the vivid 200 gamer. I have split the networks in to both 2.5 and 5ghz channels and no matter what I seem to do I cannot get above 130mb down speed, upload is perfect averaging 20 and the ping at 8 on average.
I do not have the ability to test wired connection but have a few friends who have 200mb down on wireless. I have checked my phone Huawei P9 plus and it supports up to 300mb down speed so cant be the device.
Has anyone had any similar experiences and does it require a call to the support/tech team possibly? The only reason I am concerned is we pay the difference between 150 and 200 gamer to have the 200 down not 130.
I am literally sat next to the hub and there doesn't seen to be any other wireless networks my devices pick up in the area so can't imagine it been interference.
As a heads up laptops tend to have cheaper parts, especially the networking side. If wired tests come back around 85-90Mbs then the laptop may not have gigabit ports, or the cable may not be good enough (needs to be a good, undamaged cat5e or better)
Only adding as this is common laptop occurrence.
