Vivid 200 Upstream Not Upgraded.

So with VM crowing about it's new 300Mbps service, when can I get 16Mbps upsteam that's is advertised as part of Vivid 200, if my maths is right, I'm getting 12.7Mbps ?

Primary Upstream Service Flow

SFID250747
Max Traffic Rate12700000 bps
Max Traffic Burst16320 bytes
Min Traffic Rate0 bps
Max Concatenated Burst16320 bytes
Scheduling TypeBest Effort

and if I decide to go Vivid 300 will the SH2 handle it ?

Re: Vivid 200 Upstream Not Upgraded.

Certainly.

If you're looking for a free upgrade it's not happening in the short term at least.

The new products will be available as of 30th March, and if you want to take advantage of them you will need to re-contract.

Alternatively just call up after the 30th threatening to leave and if you get the right retention agent they'll upgrade you to Vivid 1 beeeelion and send you a selection of illicit substances and ladies of the night to enjoy them with.

EDIT: Sorry got caught in the retentions rant. You should not be permitted 300Mb unless you have an SH 3 but, again, if you get the right retentions agent they'll likely try putting the configuration on a Nintendo Switch if they are desperate enough.

Re: Vivid 200 Upstream Not Upgraded.

I think you miss understood, as part of Vivid 200, I should get 16Mbps upstream, not the current 12.7Mbps, but if this is not planned to go live until 30th, this explains it.

As for the Vivid 300 and SH3, will VM lets us do the swap and just ring them up to get it provisioned or will I need an engineer ;(

Re: Vivid 200 Upstream Not Upgraded.

The new Vivid 200 with 16Mb upload will become available from 30th March, but you will need to call up to get it and enter a new contract. It's not an automatic upgrade.
