Vivid 200 Awful speeds! Need something done

So I get an average of 6-20 mbps download on wired and wireless. It goes as low as 2mbps in the evenings. Has been like this for months.

I have reset the router etc, its placed in a good spot and my kit is new.

How do i get an engineer out? This is beyond frustrating when paying for a service that I just do not get.

Service status says no known issues. Been through to helpdesk many times and they just do the same thing which has no impact.

Why is this so poor and how do i get straight to booking an engineers visit as I'm afraid I do not have the strength to go through the "restart your router" conversation again.

Do you ever get 200Mbs? At say morning/after midnight (not on weekends)?

Has the term peak time over utilization/contention been said to you by the people on the phone?

For about 1 week after I had it installed I hit speeds of around 180.

Then it completely dropped and now it is rarely over 7 or 8 max speed and 2/3 at peak times.

Never heard those terms though. Not been said to me

are you testing wired or wireless - always test wired 

log into superhub - 192.168.0.1 - DON'T SIGN IN, click router status - and post the downstream and upstream figures

Thanks for taking the time to post on the community.

 

My apologies that you are experiencing slow broadband speeds. 

 

I've taken a look at your connection, the line and hub have come back as fine. There are no faults reported and the traffic on the network is running stable with no issues.

 

I appreciate that you have tried on both wired and wireless for testing the speeds, however they are the same. Can you try a speed test whilst the Super Hub is in modem mode please as this will eliminate other devices connected?
