Hi, I have been getting, over the past month, really poor DL performance on my Vivid 150Mb service. UL is steady on 10Mbit but the DL is varying around 10 - 40Mb. I have the SH2ac set to modem into an Asus NT-66U router and I use wired connection to my Win 10 PC. The PC has gigabit net and I have previously regularly got the full 150Mbit advertised, just not anymore Smiley Sad
I have so far: Checked connections between wall socket and modem are tight - ok Reset SH several times including trying to turn it back into router and then back into modem mode - no change
Don't know what else to do....The online Virgin Media "check your status" says nothing is wrong but there clearly is. Please can someone more knowledgeable than me help?

Thanks for posting and a big welcome to the community
Sorry to hear that you're experiencing slow speeds, I know this is disappointing.
Checking your connection I can see that we're currently working on a fault in your area under ref: F004968163 which is coming up for review on the 9th Jan. While this fault is on-going you might notice that your speeds are reduced during peak time hours.
Please bump this post on or after the 9th for a further update.
Appreciate your patience,
Tech fan? Have you read our Digital life blog yet? Check it out
This is ridiculous, the point of getting a faster connection was to use Netfix, Amazon etc all of which cost to use. The Download speed is so low and unreliable (4-6Mb at Peak, 15Mb off peak) that I can't use the services I actually want fast internet for. I'm just waiting for FFTP to come to our area, any reasonable competitor... Also why do VM give so little information about faults?
they wont your money.if they told you about faults you would wont ££s off this make vigin upset.i completely agree with you about payed apps iv cancelled now tv it was like watching a badly recorded vhs film.just think about all the people that dont look at there routers and think its the norm when its bad at night.they need to do what shops do stick a poster up everywhere PRODUCT RECALL THIS PRODUCT IS FAULTY PLEASE RETURN IT TO WHERE YOU BOUGHT IT FROM AND GET A FULL REFUND.
I've check the high peak time traffic fault for an update and our engineers are still working on this to improve bandwidth with a review date of 1st February.
With the broadband speeds you are achieving, I can see that you are getting slow speeds at all times of the day. Have you tried a speed test direct to the Super Hub without your equipment connected to see if the speeds differ?
I've tried broadband through the SH direct and with SH as modem in the last few days and still struggling to get much more than 9-10Mbit. All a bit depressing really - I'll wait until then to see what happens but I'm not going to stay with Virgin if its anything like some of the delay horror stories in here.
