Vivid 100 upgrade to vivid 200

Hi

I have taken up an offer to increase my vivid 100 to vivid 200. My login says that the boost is in place but I cannot see any change it is no faster.

Thing is I previously had vivid 200 at the beginning of 2016 and the boost was massive.

 

Any help please?

It should be automatic. Can take up to 48 hours,maybe more on holidays.


If you turn your hub off and take the power cord out for 2 minutes and put it back in, it may lock on to the new profile.

Did you downgrade to vivid100 at any point?

Yes. I removed my tv bundle but kept broadband and telephone. Vivid 100 has been a constant speed since downgraded. I was told that I had to go back to vivid 100 because the free 150 upgrade was only for those with the full package. 100 was fine by me so was happy. This week I received an offer to have all tv and films and vivid 200 for about 3 quid more than I'm paying so took up the offer. My profile says the vivid 200 is in place but my speeds are the same as before. I'm waiting for my tivo box on Dec 28th. I'm assuming I don't get a new hub. Got the super hub 2

You may get a new hub, the 2 is fine for the speeds.


Have you checked the operation config on the superhub to see what speeds it's provisioned for?

And have you power cycled the superhub to see if it locks onto the new profile.

No I haven't. Is it easy to do. When I got the free speed upgrade to 150 I think it was, it just automatically increased so I assumed it would be the same this time.

Thanks I never thought of a proper hard reset or the fact it may not have kicked in given the time of year. Just assumed as it says your vivid 200 is active on my user profile it would be working.

Just done a test. 106.6 mb with a 6.06 upload. It's over 100 but my old vivid 100 gave me nearly the 100 so if this is the increase its nothing compared to what I had when I got the speed boost before. Not sure why.
