Virgin Hub 2.0 and Buffalo DD WRT Router - Low Speeds

Hi

Not sure if anyone has a dual router setup in their houses but looking to get some help.

Essentially the Buffalo is connected to the virgin hub via ethernet and acts as a bridge/network extender for the virgin hub. When connected to the virgin hub am getting 80Mbps (paying for 150Mbps). However when I am connected wired via the Buffalo it drop to 20Mbps. The distance between the 2 hubs is only around 15/20Mtrs and the cable is an external grade CAT5e. Really confused as to why this is? Both routers have gigabit ports.

Any suggestions welcome

Re: Virgin Hub 2.0 and Buffalo DD WRT Router - Low Speeds

Hey there nitantdesai,

Thanks for posting and a big welcome to the community Smiley Very Happy

Interesting fault! Do you get this speed reduction on multiple devices? Also, does anything change if your PC is in Safe Mode? As for the Buffalo, have you ensured the firmware is up to date?

Please get back to us so we can figure this out.

Take care.
